וְאַתָּה֙ תִּשְׁמַ֣ע מִן־הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְסָ֣לַחְתָּ֔ לְחַטַּ֖את עַמְּךָ֣ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַהֲשֵׁיבוֹתָם֙ אֶל־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־נָתַ֥תָּה לָהֶ֖ם וְלַאֲבֹתֵיהֶֽם׃ (פ)
Dann höre du vom Himmel und vergib die Sünde deines Volkes Israel und bringe sie zurück in das Land, das du ihnen und ihren Vätern gegeben hast.
Rashi on II Chronicles
and bring them back to the land For when they fall and are struck down before their enemies, they [their enemies] will seize what they can and will bring them into captivity to another land.
